mane is cut short to stand up. Running through the
mane is a dark stripe which starts in the forelock
and becomes a full dorsal stripe, ending in the tail.
The forehead is broad and flat and the ears are small
and alert. Most Fjords are a brown dun color. |

Fjord
horses have a dark stripe running through their mane. It starts
in the forelock, goes down the back and through the tail.
Both sides of the mane are of a light cream color, giving
a dramatic emphasis to the dark stripe. |
