Farm currently has five outstanding stallions. They include:
Rams Lindemann: We imported Rams from Norway in 1996. There he had been evaluated at Norway’s annual stallion show and was selected as one of the top 5 in the country. Here in the U. S., Rams has received the coveted Blue Ribbon, Gold Medallion status through the Norwegian Fjord Horse Registry’s Evaluation system. He has sired a number of blue ribbon Fjords In both conformation and performance and therefore has also received the NFHR’s Hall of Fame award. Rams has also worked for and achieved the NFHR Versatility Award. He is now used for driving and is very dependable. He often brings the U.S. flag down the parade route to start the annual Lebanon Christmas Carriage parade. Rams is a beautiful, intelligent, well-mannered and proud stallion, and he has a very special place at Sorum Farm.
SNF Bergen: Bergen has an outstanding disposition which he has passed on to his offspring. He is very willing and responsive and has a gorgeous canter. Bergen is our second stallion (out of only a few throughout the U.S.) to receive the prestigious rank as a Blue Ribbon , Gold Medallion stallion through his achievements in the NFHR Evaluation System. He is also the winner of the NFHR Versatility Award. We are very proud of this fine stallion.
PCF Vidar: Vidar is a 2003 stallion. His sire was the 1998 and 1999 Fjord horse of the year in Denmark, and he is following in those footsteps of excellence. His athleticism shows in his spectacular movement. His many blue ribbons, especially his National Pony Club championship ribbons, attest to his ability. Besides all of that he has excellent conformation. We are very pleased with the foals he has sired too. It’s going to be exciting to see what Vidar achieves with all his abilities.
SNF Kjell: Kjell is a 2003 stallion sired by Rams Lindemann, and he is looking more and more like him every day! He has become a very handsome stallion. He has a good temperament and seems to prefer driving over the dressage ring, although he has done quite well there too. Kjell is an eager and willing learner in combined driving events and is shaping up to be a formidable competitor. We are very pleased with Kjell’s development.
SNF Odleif: Odleif is a 2004 stallion out of SNF Oddrun and Rams Lindemann. The combination of one of the most beautiful blue ribbon mares we’ve ever owned, and the fantastic Rams, has given us one amazing stallion in SNF Odleif. His athletic ability just shows whether he is simply standing, or performing in the dressage ring, or being driven. His looks are exquisite. In other words, he is one well put together Fjord. Odleif is doing a wonderful job developing his driving skills and we expect great things from him in the years to come.
